M. David Dalton, M.D. -  Downtown Office

Description: Dr. Mark David DaltonDr. M. David Dalton is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in both internal medicine and gastroenterology and is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians. He is a member of several local, state, and national medical societies. He was Chief-of-Staff at St. Joseph Hospital in 1992-1994.

Dr. Dalton was born in El Paso and grew up in Dallas. He earned his B.A. in Biology from Rice University in 1966 and his M.D. in 1970 from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School at Dallas, where he was a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. Following his medical school graduation, Dr. Dalton did a straight medicine internship and internal medicine residency at Parkland Memorial Hospital and then a gastroenterology fellowship at the Dallas VA Hospital. After completing his training 1975, he served two years with the Air Force at Keesler Air Force Base, in Biloxi, Mississippi.

Dr. Dalton initiated his private practice in July, 1977, in Fort Worth, where he has enjoyed the rewarding practice of medicine in a wonderful community.

Dr. Dalton and his wife, Sally, have been married for 44 years, have three grown children, four grandchildren, and two on the way.

Virat R. Davé, M.D. -  Downtown Office 

Description: Dr. Virat R. DaveDr. Virat R. Davé is board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in both Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. During his fellowship, he presented his research at national meetings. His practice primarily consists of general gastroenterology/hepatology. He has a special interest in pancreaticobiliary disorders.

Dr. Davé was reared in Austin, Texas and earned a degree in History with honors at the University of Texas in 1996. He received his M.D. from Texas A&M in 2000. Dr. Davé then completed both his Internal Medicine residency and Gastroenterology fellowship at Scott and White in Temple, Texas.  During his fellowship training, Dr. Davé obtained additional training in endoscopic ultrasound. He joined GANT in 2006.

Dr. Davé and his wife have two children. He enjoys playing basketball, physical fitness, and reading.

Josh O. George, M.D. -  Downtown Office

Description: Dr. Josh O. GeorgeDr. Josh O. George is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in both Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. He received his undergraduate degree in Biology at the University of Cincinnati.  In 1999, he received his M.D. degree at the Medical College of Ohio in Toledo, Ohio.  He went on to do his internship and internal medicine residency at the University of Texas Southwestern/Parkland Hospital in Dallas, Texas.  Dr. George then did his gastroenterology fellowship at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina.  He stayed on an additional year as faculty at Duke University to do further training in Endoscopic Ultrasound and Therapeutic ERCP/Endoscopy.

During his training, he published articles in the areas of endoscopic ultrasound and biliary disease. He has also presented his research results at various national meetings.   His areas of interest include biliary and pancreatic disease, endoscopic ultrasound, Barrett’s therapy, colon cancer prevention and general gastroenterology/hepatology.  He hopes to pursue further research here in Fort Worth. 

Dr. George is a member of the American College of Gastroenterology, American Gastroenterological Association, American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, Texas Medical Association, and Tarrant County Medical Society. 

A native of Cincinnati, Ohio, Dr. George and his family moved to Fort Worth in July 2007. In addition to spending time with his wife and two children, he enjoys traveling, playing basketball, golfing, and exercising.

Kumar Gutta, M.D. -  Downtown Office

Description: Dr. Kumar GuttaDr. Kumar Gutta is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in both Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. He received his undergraduate education at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan, and received his M.D. from Wayne State University School of Medicine in 1989. Dr. Gutta did his postgraduate training in internal medicine and gastroenterology at the Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Minnesota, with an additional year of training in therapeutic endoscopy at the University of Texas Southwestern, Dallas. 

Dr. Gutta began his Fort Worth Practice of Gastroenterology in 1996.  He has published numerous articles on various gastrointestinal disorders and has written a book chapter on pancreatic diseases.  He has presented at numerous national meetings and is active in research trials for new drugs. Dr. Gutta is a member of the American College of Gastroenterology, American Gastroenterological Association and American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, as well as Texas Medical Association and Tarrant County Medical Society.  He also serves various national, hospital, and local charitable committees.

Dr. Gutta was reared in Michigan. He and his wife enjoy leisure time together with their son. Dr. Gutta’s hobbies include reading, golf and tennis.

Dan Morton, M.D. -  Downtown Office

Description: Dr. Dan MortonDr. Dan Morton is board certified in Internal Medicine and in Gastroenterology by the American of Board of Internal Medicine. After graduating from Fort Worth Country Day School, he earned his undergraduate degree from Texas Christian University in 1974. He attended University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, where he received his M.D. degree in 1978.  He completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Maryland, where he served an additional year as Chief Resident. He completed his fellowship in Gastroenterology at Johns Hopkins University before returning to Fort Worth to begin private practice in 1984.

Dr. Morton is a member of the American Gastroenterological Association, Texas Medical Association, and the Tarrant County Medical Society.  He is currently Chief of the Division of Gastroenterology at Harris Methodist Fort Worth Hospital, where he previously served as Chief of Internal Medicine.  He has also served as a past President of the Fort Worth Academy of Medicine and a board member of North Texas Specialty Physicians. His interests include fishing, flying and playing the piano.

Susan Moster, D.O. -  Downtown Office

Description: Dr. Susan MosterDr. Susan Moster is board certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. She graduated from Southwestern Oklahoma State University with degrees in Pharmacy and Chemistry. She then attended graduate school to pursue a Masters of Business Administration and completed medical school in 1986 at Oklahoma State University, College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed her internship and Internal Medicine Residency at Tulsa Regional Medical Center and then served a year as Chief Medical Resident. Her Gastroenterology fellowship was in Chicago at Midwestern University with rotations at University of Chicago and Northwestern.

Dr. Moster is a member of American College of Gastroenterology, Texas Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, Texas Medical Association, Tarrant County Medical Society, and the Crohns and Colitis Foundation. She has been in private practice of gastroenterology in Fort Worth since 1995.

A native of North Texas, Dr. Moster was reared in the small Catholic community of Muenster, Texas. In her leisure time she enjoys boating, fishing, and golf.

Syed Sadiq, M.D. -  Downtown Office

Description: Dr. Syed SadiqDr. Syed Sadiq is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. During his entire academic career, Dr. Sadiq remained in the top ten percentile, graduating with honors as the best graduate in his final year of medical school.

He received his initial internal medicine training at St. Louis University Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri, where he received a distinguished award from the American Medical Association for being one of the top ten medicine residents in the country for medical research and publications.

 Upon completion of his residency, he entered into a private practice in Internal Medicine in the suburbs of Kansas City, Missouri. He later entered into a Gastroenterology fellowship training program, starting at UT Houston / MD Anderson in Houston, Texas. Upon finishing his final training years at Oklahoma University Health Sciences Center in June 2003, he joined Gastroenterology Associates of North Texas

Dr. Sadiq is an active member of the American College of Gastroenterology, American Society of Gastroenterology endoscopy and Texas Society of Gastroenterology and Endoscopy. He serves on various physicians committee for downtown Fort Worth hospitals. He is also a co-author of a textbook of gastroenterology focusing on liver diseases.

Dr. Sadiq is very competent in diagnosing and treatment of complex gastroenterology and liver-related diseases and also quite proficient in performing advanced complex diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures.

 Dr. Sadiq is married with four children. In his spare time, he enjoys reading, traveling with his family around the world and in the U.S., and actively taking part in sports such as tennis and racquetball.

Joseph Shelton, M.D. -  Downtown Office

Description: Dr. Joseph SheltonDr. Joseph Shelton is board certified in both gastroenterology and internal medicine. He earned an A.B. with honors degree from Harvard University in 1995 and received his M.D. degree from the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston.  He then completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at the University of Texas Southwestern in Dallas.  He completed his gastroenterology fellowship training at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas.

Dr. Shelton has published several articles on various gastrointestinal diseases.  He is a member of the Tarrant County Medical Society, American Gastroenterological Association, American College of Gastroenterology and American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy.

Dr. Shelton grew up in Dallas. He and his wife enjoy spending time with their children.  In his spare time, Dr. Shelton enjoys outdoor activities, motorcycles, and traveling.

Kamal Syed, M.D. -  Downtown Office

Description: Dr. Kamal SyedDr. Kamal Syed is board certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology.

Dr. Syed received his M.D. degree from The Aga Khan University Medical College, in his native homeland of Karachi, Pakistan, in 1988. His completed his post-graduate training in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology at The Baylor College of Medicine, Houston, Texas in 1996.

Dr. Syed has been in private practice since 1996; he joined G.A.N.T. in 2005. His special interests include colon cancer screening and quality measures in gastroenterology.

Dr. Syed is a member of American Gastroenterology Association, American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, Texas Medical Association and Tarrant County Medical Society.

Dr. Syed and his wife, Samira, were married in 1989. They have three children. In his leisure time, Dr. Syed enjoys reading, playing tennis, and traveling.

Kenneth Yang, M.D. -  Downtown Office

Description: Dr. Kenny YangDr. Kenneth Yang is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in both Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. He is a member of the American Gastroenterological Association, American College of Gastroenterology, American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, and the Tarrant County Medical Society.  He is fluent in English and Taiwanese.

Dr. Yang was born in Lexington, Kentucky and grew up in Houston, Texas.  He earned his B.A. in biology in 1995 from the University of Texas at Austin and his M.D. at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School (UTSW) in 1999.  He completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at UTSW, and then served as Chief Resident from 2003-2004.  After a year as a hospitalist at Baylor Medical Center at Irving, Dr. Yang completed his fellowship in Gastroenterology at UTSW.  During his fellowship, he presented his research on optimizing colonoscopy bowel preparation at the American Gastroenterological Association national meeting, which has since been accepted for publication in the journal Gastrointestinal Endoscopy.  Dr. Yang’s private practice consists of all gastrointestinal and liver diseases.  He has a special interest in colon cancer prevention.

Dr. Yang and his wife moved to Ft. Worth from Dallas in 2008, when he joined GANT.  His wife is a psychologist and they enjoy traveling together.  Dr. Yang’s interests also include playing and watching sports, exploring restaurants and museums in Ft. Worth, and reading.
