M. David Dalton, M.D.

Dr. M. David Dalton is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in both internal medicine and gastroenterology and is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians. He is a member of several local, state, and national medical societies. He was Chief-of-Staff at St. Joseph Hospital in 1992-1994.
Dr. Dalton was born in El Paso and grew up in Dallas. He earned his B.A. in Biology from Rice University in 1966 and his M.D. in 1970 from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School at Dallas, where he was a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. Following his medical school graduation, Dr. Dalton did a straight medicine internship and internal medicine residency at Parkland Memorial Hospital and then a gastroenterology fellowship at the Dallas VA Hospital. After completing his training 1975, he served two years with the Air Force at Keesler Air Force Base, in Biloxi, Mississippi.
Dr. Dalton initiated his private practice in July, 1977, in Fort Worth, where he has enjoyed the rewarding practice of medicine in a wonderful community.
Dr. Dalton and his wife have been married 40 years and have three grown children. Besides his family, Dr. Dalton’s interests include reading, music, and outdoor activities.
