Kumar Gutta, M.D.
Dr. Kumar Gutta is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in both Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. He received his undergraduate education at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan, and received his M.D. from Wayne State University School of Medicine in 1989. Dr. Gutta did his postgraduate training in internal medicine and gastroenterology at the Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Minnesota, with an additional year of training in therapeutic endoscopy at the University of Texas Southwestern, Dallas.
Dr. Gutta began his Fort Worth Practice of Gastroenterology in 1996. He has published numerous articles on various gastrointestinal disorders and has written a book chapter on pancreatic diseases. He has presented at numerous national meetings and is active in research trials for new drugs. Dr. Gutta is a member of the American College of Gastroenterology, American Gastroenterological Association and American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, as well as the American Medical Association, Texas Medical Association and Tarrant County Medical Society. He also serves various national, hospital, and local charitable committees.
Dr. Gutta was reared in Michigan. He and his wife enjoy leisure time together with their son. Dr. Gutta’s hobbies include reading, golf and tennis.
