Research
G.A.N.T. has been actively involved in conducting clinical research since 1996. Our involvement started out of a need to offer our patients an alternative to available therapies. We also wanted to contribute our knowledge and experience towards the development of new gastroenterology therapies, as well as the improvement of available medications that affect the GI tract.
Over the years, we have participated with several national and international companies on many different topics affecting the GI tract. We conduct primarily Phase II and Phase III clinical trials. We work with Harris Methodist Fort Worth Hospital’s - Clinical Research Department to carry out these numerous research endeavors. We are able to participate in both outpatient and inpatient trials.
If you are interested in finding out more about becoming a participant for a research study or if you know someone who might be, please feel free to contact our research office (817) 820-4950 or contact Tamara D. Plant, RN, BSN - Clnical Research Director tamaraplant@texashealth.org. Our Research Nurses will talk with you and see if you meet the requirements for a current study. If there is not a study that meets your needs, they will be happy to contact you when something becomes available.
We are currently conducting research within the following therapeutic areas:
- Ulcerative Colitis
- Irritable Bowel
- Reflux Disease
